Automatic transmissions are complex systems that operate under high temperature and stress. Survival demands that all components function freely—the torque convertor, planetary gears, bands and clutches, shift valves, servos and accumulators, governor and modulator. Malfunctions bring power loss and poor fuel economy. Repairs are costly.
Optimum lubrication is needed to keep your automatic transmission running trouble free. QMI protects metal-to-metal friction surfaces with fused PTFE treatment, like “wet ice on
wet ice,” a substitute wear surface that reduces friction, wear and heat while increasing energy efficiency and prolonging life and trouble-free operation.
Now friction components glide by each other on long-lasting PTFE protection, reducing wear as much as 30 to 90%.
As a manufacturer committed to advanced PTFE treatment technology, QMI provides PTFE that suspend easily in carrier oils and pass readily through standard filters. Many years
of product development efforts produced SX-6000, a metal preparation, blending, suspension and bonding formula exclusive to QMI, with specialized PTFE especially chosen for
higher tensile strength and greater fracture resistance.
Also, QMI treatment does not contain chlorine or other potentially harmful components, does not compromise oil characteristics or component critical tolerances, and is Sequence IIIE
tested safe and effective. Does not cause slippage of automatic transmission metal-to-fiber clutch disks and bands.
Recommended for automatic transmissions in automobiles, light trucks and similar vehicles. Treatment is applied with current use automatic transmission fluid (ATF), or at ATF
change interval.
1. Shake well and add to ATF in automatic transmission. Do not overfill.
2. Drive immediately for 30 minutes.
3. Follow manufacturer’s service recommendations.
4. Retreat every 50,000 miles/80,000 km., or when changing ATF.
1 part QMI to 20 parts ATF.
(If applying QMI Automatic Transmission Treatment 8 ounce container, apply full contents to automotive or light truck transmission.)
