First Use & Cleaning Protocol

LubriSilk Gun Oil is both a cleaner and lubricant based on the Boron-CLS-Bond™ technology.

This Boron-CLS-Bond technology forms a Boride Covalent Bond to the metal, creating a new surface; sealing out moisture and oxygen, eliminating carbon buildup, rust, corrosion and burnt powder in the gun.

You will notice visually the reduction of buildup.

You will notice the reduction of heat retained in the gun.  This can be documented with a simple experiment of firing the gun pre-treatment to build up heat, after about 10 - 50 rounds, then using a thermo gauge, or just feeling with your bare hand, but be careful that you don't burn yourself.  Then clean and treat using directions below, and repeat the firing a thermo gauge experiment.

If this is your first use:

If the barrel is corroded, then it is best to apply LubriSilk Gun Oil liberally as a presoak for one week, then clean as usual.  The boric acid will remove all corrosion and carbon buidup and form a Boride Covalent Bond to the metal, creating a new surgace 85% the hardness of a diamond.

For Cleaning and preparing for use:

If the barrel simply needs maineanance, then apply LubriSilk Gun Oil with a rag or brush and let sit overnight.

Treat all metal or moving parts as well as wood if applicable.

Before use, simply wipe away excess oil.  The gun is ready for use.

This process may be repeated based on your usage.  You will notice the ease of cleaning and minimal retreatment is needed.

For storage, treat gun with LubriSilk Gun Oil as mentioned above; leave overnight, wipe clean then store.

If increased velocity or accuracy is desired, treat bullets as well.
